Looking back at that Dora reconciliation strip, it's kind of amazing to literally watch characters regress and de-age over time.

Although I also did a Clinton/sven confusion double take on the first panel, I got unreasonably excited to see that dora and hannelore look slightly different to each other! (eye size, jaw line)

I have low standards for QC nowadays...

They look different from each other, sure, but sadly they look nothing like themselves.

It's a sad day as a comic reader if you celebrate your comic having people you can tell apart....

Wow, this is the first time with these recent sven comics that I legitimately thought it was Clinton. In the others I guess context clues made his identity obvious but here I read the first panel and was so confused I had to go back to fridays comic.

When he first popped back up with no glasses, I really thought he was Marten. He looked like the current version but with brown hair. I was confused until the end of the strip. Then I was further confused why he was drawn exactly like Marten with brown hair.

I'm confused why this is your first time being confused. Jeph is clearly using the same faces and it's lazy and distracting.

I thought Dora wasnt talking to Sven anymore? Like she was gonna cut him out of her life for good. It even set up the first time her and Tai fought.

Tai pressed the issue, and coupled with her long-needed therapy Dora finally reached back out to Sven and acknowledged she can be a judgmental bitch and that they both need to work on their relationship. It was actually a decent moment of growth.

They reconciled after a while, sometime around the late 2000's (comics not years) iirc

EDIT: found it, Hanners prompted it in 3013, they met up and talked in 3024-3027

It was at Dora's engagement thing at the bar where Sven first hooked up with May, so Sven and Dora being reconciled was a prerequisite to this entire arc.
