Should I Use Seafoam To Clean F150 Ecoboost

Topic:  To Seafoam or not to Seafoam  (Read 14837 times)

Getting different answers from different forums.  I"ve used information technology in the past but never on a DI engine and turbos i understand carbon can come up off and burn upwards your turbo or true cat. well if information technology messes the stock muffler upwards then oh well time to get aftermarket.  I've always used it in the past oh other vehicles. i've just turned 40k on my eleven FX4 Ecoboost.  i've used gas treatments with most every fill up, use 89 or 93 at the pump and try to utilize not-ethanol when i can, if not i use an additive like Star-Tron.  And then to Seafoam the topend or non help a guy out

I'm not going to. I have a 2011 also. I might try my hand at hand cleaning anytime tho

I used both that and the 3 grand treatment. Lost a turbo twenty k subsequently...probably a coincidence but I am not sure I volition exist doing it over again...that said DI engines become pretty muddied.  Wish Ford had a better choice and so pulling the heads. LOL

2013 White SHO due west/PP, Gearhead Tuned, 3 Bar, 160T, Plugs...Mess with the Bull and yous'll get the Horn. :)

BG did regular cleaning on their SHO with no apparent ill effects.

I would like to meet results from a number of SHOs to confirm.  Though due to the "rarity" of the SHO, may exist difficult to achieve.  Easier to become oil analysis data :)

If tuned:  Take notation of the strategy lawmaking every bit you render to stock (including iii bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take motorcar in & go it serviced -> cheque strategy code when you go car back -> accept tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload melody -> ENJOY!

I ran seafoam in my gas terminal month and I noticed an immediate divergence in power after that tank of gas... I have over 80k on mine and I know it'south never had anything ran through it.

2010 SHO

I've done the seafoam treatment several times at present. In fact my car is sitting with deep creep soaking on the Valves and pistons as I type this.  I've seen skillful results. I don't accept that much carbon at 20k but that'southward why I'm doing it. To proceed the build upwards down. I'd hate to encounter what the valves await like at 80k with no service.

13' GTCS, will be missed.

I as well did seafoam near 10k back (was at 30k) I did a dilute treatment - ane/ii can @ for 2 fills. I too noticed an increment in power and throttle response. I have a 3M kit in the garage that I proceed significant to become to - hopefully in the next week or two.

2015 Tuxedo Blackness Explorer Sport 401A, no mods....YET :)

In the fuel and crankcase are not a concern on mine. I have yet to do information technology on my machine with only 2400 miles there is no need.

Where seafoam excels is through a vacuum line, more often than not brake booster. This is where my hesitation comes into play.

2014 Manufactory Order SHO (not pp) Deep Bear upon Bluish
Gearhead Automotive Functioning Tune
3-bar
SP-542 plugs w/ GH gap

Vacuum line is where it is all-time used IMO. Many turbo owners I know (me included and I know me very well) used information technology and similar products with no bug. Simply be careful non to permit it suck in too much liquid at a time.

I hadn't considered it to be used as a preventor though. May take to consider that but with but 21000kms I'yard a ways away from that. ;)

But sometimes they don't make sense

I still don't put a lot of stock in that video. Turbo cars accept been around for ages besides has BG. Now with that said cars that are heavily laden with deposits I can so where a chemical consecration service could be potentially harmful.
